Sailing HistoryRobert comes from a sailing family and it was only natural for Robert along with his brother and sister to start sailing from a very early age. Towards the age of 10 Robert became interested in racing and was bought his first Optimist dinghy. He reached the top of this fleet quickly, twice competing in European Championships and being part of the National Squad. As Robert grew older he sailed a variety of boats, increasing his background knowledge and strengthening his ability to adapt as well as keeping a good natural feel/ability for the sport. Variety has meant that Robert has never lost momentum and his enthusiasm for sailing has never dwindled. 2003/4 Success
