Media Strategy and goals

A proactive media campaign will cover all of the events and activities carried out by The Robert Greenhalgh Racing Team. This includes issuing of results, news, features, editorials and partner product endorsements.

Press, TV and internet angles will all be covered, portraying stories tailored to reflect campaign and partner values, eg, adrenalin filled action - profiling fitness, speed and action publications; leading edge technology - profiling design and technology, communications and innovations publications; lifestyle stories, role models, living life on the edge - profiling male action magazines and sports publications.

The Robert Greenhalgh Racing Media Team have identified at this stage a number of subjects that will be targeted in order to generate maximum publicity for the team and partners, these subjects include:

  • Youth angle - portraying inspiring role models in order to attract new youngsters into the sport of sailing
  • Education - setting out an educational lesson/games on the web site for key audiences to learn from and develop their understanding of the sport of sailing and technology
  • Technology - product and systems endorsements, features, case studies
  • Realising dreams - examples of how this team managed to start from the basics of local Club sailing and go on to achieve World Class No 1 ranking
  • Competition - set up fun competitions for audiences to get involved in the campaign, speed trial guesses, win a day sailing with the team etc
  • Fitness and wellbeing - build up a picture of how the team train and reach such levels of fitness and stamina

For details of such media stories or if you are interested in developing a new story or angle directly with the team, please contact: leslie @robertgreenhalgh.com or call on +44 (0)7785 274579
