Right now Robert has a bit on! Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing are deep deep in the Southern Ocean, half way between New Zealand and Cape Horn. Spirits remain intact although 7 days of hard running has taken its toll on the gear.
During the nine months of the Volvo Ocean Race, the teams will sail over 39,000 nautical miles of the world’s most treacherous seas via Alicante, Cape Town, Abu Dhabi, Sanya, Auckland, around Cape Horn to Itajaí, Miami, Lisbon, and Lorient and finally Galway. This is Robert's third race having won it in 2006 and coming second in 2009.
